My background in the preschool classroom and as a community leader, education advocate, and HCPSS parent have uniquely qualified me to serve on the Board of Education. Growing up on Chicago’s south side as a student receiving Free and Reduced Meals (FARMs), I have personally experienced the importance and power of public education to change lives. Serving others in my community and beyond has been a life-long pursuit. My desire to serve my community and the young people of the county led me to run for an at large seat on the board in 2022 and is my motivation for running for District One’s member of the Board of Education.
